Oil and Gas Overview: Zavala County, Texas
Zavala County, Texas is a producer of oil and natural gas. Over 35 drilling permits were issued in the County in 2024. Besides oil and gas drilling, there are other environmentally impactful activities such as pipeline construction, oil and gas trucking, land clearing, natural gas flaring, and the like. What’s that odd smell in the air? Hopefully not Hydrogen Sulfide. It’s potentially deadly, but not uncommon around oil and gas wells.
