Oil and Gas Owner Relations departments handle most mineral/royalty owner requests, such as Change of Ownership, Address Changes, Name Changes, Tax Reporting questions, Lost Checks, and Direct Depositing.
Some oil and gas companies may have one person handling all of this, and some other companies may outsource these tasks to a third party. Sometimes your issue will be addressed within a day or two, and sometimes it could take 3 months.
Dealing with Owner Relations issues is often the most frustrating part about mineral and royalty ownership.
If you are tired of the hassle, consider donating your mineral or royalty interest to ERGF!
