Oil and Gas Overview: Rusk County, Texas

Rusk County, Texas is a prolific producer of natural gas. A fair amount of oil is produced within the County as well. Besides oil and gas drilling, there are other environmentally impactful activities such as pipeline construction, oil and gas trucking, natural gas flaring, and the like. What’s that odd smell in the air? Hopefully not Hydrogen Sulfide. It’s potentially deadly, but not uncommon around oil and gas wells.
