Oil and Gas Overview: Reeves County, Texas
Reeves County, Texas. One of the most prolific oil and gas producing counties in the Permian Basin, if not the entire United States. Besides hydrocarbon production, the County sees substantial environmental impacts in other areas: Wastewater storage, pipelines, truck transportation, brine extraction and refinement, natural gas flaring, bitcoin mining, data centers, and more. Reeves County has always been an important County, and there is still millions of dollars in economic activity every day…but at what cost? It’s an important County. Just don’t drink the water or breathe the air.
