Gold, Again!

Earth Resource Guardian Foundation (ERGF) is proud to announce that we have earned Gold Transparency status from Candid/Guidestar, one of the premier organizations that researches and reviews non-profit organizations.

There are over 1.8 million non-profit organizations in the United States. Of these, only about 7% have earned any type of Transparency status from Candid/Guidestar. Only about 1.5% of the non-profits in the country have earned Gold Certification. Even fewer have earned Platinum Certification. This puts ERGF in the Top 3% of non-profits for transparency and donor trust.

ERGF is currently working towards achieving Platinum status, and has already achieved several of the rigorous requirements for this certification.

As part of our commitment to transparency, we invite you to check out our newly launched Governance and Policies page. This page includes our governing documents, internal policies, and tax returns. You’ll find documents such as our Conflicts of Interest policy, Whistleblower policy, Self-Dealing policy, and many other documents that most non-profits will not make available to the public.

We believe that every donor or prospective donor is entitled to see more than just what is required by law. If the non-profits you currently support aren’t as transparent as ERGF, ask them why not. A legitimate non-profit earns trust easily, by being open and honest with their supporters.
