Oil and Gas Overview: McMullen County, Texas
McMullen County, Texas is a prolific producer of oil and natural gas. Over 140 drilling permits were issued in the County in 2024. Besides drilling, there are other impactful activities such as pipeline construction, oil and gas trucking, natural gas flaring, and the like. What’s that odd smell in the air? Hopefully not Hydrogen Sulfide. It’s potentially deadly, but not uncommon around oil and gas wells.
