Oil and Gas Overview: Martin County, Texas
Martin County, Texas. One of the most prolific oil and gas producing counties in the Permian Basin, if not the entire United States. Besides oil and gas production, the County sees substantial environmental impacts in other areas: Wastewater storage, pipelines, truck transportation, brine extraction and refinement, natural gas flaring, land clearing, and much more. It’s an important County. Just don’t drink the water or breathe the air.
