Oil and Gas Overview: Freestone County, Texas

Freestone County, Texas is a prolific producer of natural gas. Besides oil and gas drilling, there are other environmentally impactful activities such as pipeline construction, oil and gas trucking, natural gas flaring, and the like. What’s that odd smell in the air? Hopefully not Hydrogen Sulfide…It’s a potentially deadly gas sometimes released around oil and gas wellsites.
