Oil and Gas Overview: Culberson County, Texas
Culberson County, Texas is a prolific producer of natural gas. Over 260 drilling permits were issued in the County in 2024 alone. Besides oil and gas drilling, there are other impactful activities such as pipeline construction, oil and gas trucking, natural gas flaring, and the like. What’s that odd smell in the air? Hopefully not Hydrogen Sulfide…it’s a deadly gas, and not uncommon around oil and gas wellsites.
