Oil and Gas Overview: Cherokee County, Texas

Cherokee County, Texas is a prolific producer of natural gas. Besides oil and gas drilling, there are other environmentally impactful activities such as pipeline construction, oil and gas trucking, land clearing, natural gas flaring, and the like. What’s that odd smell in the air? Hopefully not Hydrogen Sulfide. It’s potentially deadly, but not uncommon around oil and gas wells.
